Last week I introduced you dear readers to a thread over at AboveTopSecret that was started by one of the best posters at the site (See here for that post). Well today I'm back to introduce you to yet another fascinating thread started by IsaacKoi. Earlier today Isaac posted this at ATS "Breaking News on Belgian TV: Famous flying triangle picture is a fake confesses hoaxer".
According to the original news posting when translated through Google, because the original article is in French apparently, the man who created this photo (see below) has now admitted that it is in fact a fake.

As has been pointed out on the thread, even if this photo has been faked (which to the best of my knowledge hasn't been proven just yet) it doesn't change the number of sightings by both the military and civilians.

I have heard this view before and it makes sense to a point. The main concern I have with it though, is why would the military risk flying the craft over another country where it could ostensibly crash and be recovered? It seems that many believe triangular craft sightings are military in nature, but I'm not 100% convinced yet. Either way thanks for your reply!
I agree that even if this photo is a fake one, it doesn't change the fact that something unusual was flying over Belgium for months back then, witnessed by thousands of people - civilians, as well as military and police.
If, as Mr. X says, the Belgium Triangle was a U.S. aircraft, then one of the secret craft of the Air Force was witnessed by hundreds of people in Belgium. We now know that the Air Force has- if it truly was a secret craft being tested- aircraft displaying flight characteristics outside the range normally associated with conventional aircraft. In effect, it had ufo characteristics. This means a percentage of ufo sightings would be of U.S. origin. Does the U.S. military, by denying ufo's are real, suppose citizens will of necessity believe the extraterrestrial hypothesis, when in fact the strange craft are made here on Earth? Having secret ufo technology would be of enormous value for information gathering to the military, since ufo's are considered no threat to national security. Nevertheless, beings from other planets have visited Earth and probably their technology has been incorporated into these secret,highly unusual craft being seen around the world.
It always serve a government to tell "they possess that kind of technology" even if it's a lie.
